I just ended reading "Cryoburn", a novel in the Miles Vorkosigan Saga, written by Lois McMaster Bujold. Check out her website, and the impressive list of awards. In particular, the Miles Vorkosigan Saga won 4 (yes, i wrote FOUR) Hugo Awards. There is nothing else to be said, except: "thanks Lois!!!"

Other hints that the real world is trying to imitate the digital one...
Below you find a picture of a menu, from a Pub of Giarre, a small town in Sicily.
Does it remind something to you?

Just pasted in the headlines of this blog...
... after copying it from the blog http://www.mengstupiditis.com/ : "This blog is updated daily. Except when it is not."
I guess this will not be the last time I steal something from Meng: he seems to be a guy that many people should be inspired by.
By the way, once Wilson Mizner stated: "If you steal from one author it's plagiarism; if you steal from many it's research." I would add the line: if you steal from many, one by one, it is a blog.

Are marketing rules changing?
Two days ago I was walking in San Francisco, and by chance I entered into the Azil boutique. I decided to buy two pieces of jewelry, and I asked for a discount price for buying both of them. They answered that it was not possible, but if I would have liked their page on Facebook I could have had 15% discount. Asked for the WiFi password, and I liked their page.
Moral: once upon a time, people used their websites to advertise their businesses. Today they use their businesses to advertise their websites.
Bah!
